Krister's day-to-day responsibilities include an audit of the financial statements of companies, allocating responsibilities to the youngest members of the audit team, and preparing, executing, and performing audit tests.
Kristers is responsible for the preparation of documentation in the early stages of an audit project, customer approval and risk assessment, AML questionnaire, assessment of the possibility of fraud and performance of other client identification documentation, and other related tasks.
Krister's work responsibilities also include communication, consultations and issue solving with clients about audit matters. Previously, Kristers has been an analyst where he performed analytical tests, control tests, cycle interviews and description production. In addition, Kristers has performed tasks as financial analysis of reports and their correction according to legal requirements, the performance of PD, LGD, ECL, investment and loan portfolio tests, recalculations of credit interest rates, as well as procedures related to assignments, bonds, covenants, and IFRS 16, IFRS 15 and IFRS 9. Krister's responsibilities also included performing tests of share capital, share premium and retained earnings, analytical and other relevant procedures for profit and cost, accounts payable and accounts receivable, the performance of accrual tests, recalculation of salaries, and performing the inspection according to other criteria specified by law.
Kristers has also managed projects as an "in-charge" manufacturing, IT (Information Technology), and financial technology companies, as well as the development of annexes to the group reporting package as part of the group audit.
Before joining BDO Kristers gained experience in stock and real estate market value revaluation tests. Kristers also has experience in finance, receivables departments, global communications, and data in the processing team of Solvay Business Center Latvia, and one and a half years of experience in the Audit and Assurance department at BDO Latvia.
