Rihards Polaks works as an Attorney at Law at BDO Latvia. Rihards was an employee for thirteen years of a law enforcement agency under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior. Practicing as an Attorney at Law for the last seven years.
Rihards Polaks has extensive practical and theoretical experience in the field of criminal law. During his practice as a lawyer, he has successfully defended clients' interests in criminal cases related to the legalization of proceeds of crime, large-scale fraud, as well as criminal offenses in the service of state institutions. He has successfully implemented the representation of victims in criminal cases of various criminal offenses, both in law enforcement institutions and in courts.
Rihards is the author of ten publications and scientific articles, winning international and national awards in the field of the development of criminal law doctrine. Often participates in various conferences as a participant. He also gained experience as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Riga Stradins University, teaching a study course in the field of human rights, and was also a guest lecturer at several Latvian universities.
